I tried both running as the hamster alone and running as the hamster in a ball (you can change the tick on the main page), seeing is easier without the ball but you go much faster with it (time challenges to come maybe?). I already had all the requirements so loading wasn't quite as long for me and on the second and third run through loading was really a lot faster. It's cute the music is not annoying and graphically it's quite good. I've run through 3 times now just seeing if this is something I want to spend real money on, and I have concluded that without some "more" to it, that no it's not something that would hold my attention long enough to be bothered.
